Dropped Nike Inc. confirmed Friday that it no longer has a relationship with Milwaukee Brewers baseball player Ryan Braun following his 65-game suspension related to Major League Baseball’s drug investigation. Braun, the 2011 N.L. MVP, accepted the season-ending suspension last week.

Paired Former champions Tiger Woods , Keegan Bradley and Davis Love III have been paired for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship next week at Oak Hill in Pittsford, N.Y. Woods is a four-time PGA winner, Bradley won the 2011 PGA and Love won in 1997.

Revealed An autopsy showed that star Ecuador striker Christian Benitez had a heart ailment that led to his fatal heart attack the day after a game. According to Ecuador soccer federation president Luis Chiriboga, doctors say the ailment could not be detected before Benitez died Monday in Qatar. They found it during a second autopsy after his body was returned to Ecuador on Friday.

Signed Sporting Kansas City signed defender Erik Palmer-Brown, making the 16-year-old the youngest player in the history of the Major League Soccer club. Palmer-Brown came out of Sporting KC’s academy program, and flourished with the U.S. under-17 national team. He is widely regarded among the top prospects in the country.

Withdrawn No. 5-ranked Roger Federer, winner of 17 Grand Slam singles titles, has pulled out of the Rogers Cup following three straight early exits from tournaments. The Swiss star gave no reason for the withdrawal. The tournament begins Monday in Montreal.

Resigned The chairman of the Turkish Athletics Federation has stepped down in the wake of several doping scandals that have clouded Istanbul’s bid for the 2020 Olympics. Mehmet Terzi said “so many anti-doping crimes were committed outside my and technical staff’s control.” Terzi’s decision follows a flurry of positive drug tests involving Turkish track and field athletes.

Banned Lazio captain Stefano Mauri has been banned for six months by the Italian soccer federation for his part in a match-fixing scandal. Mauri was one of eight players accused of rigging the Serie A games between Lazio-Genoa and Lecce-Lazio in May 2011 and for failing to report match-fixing. He was found guilty for his role in the Lecce match.

Died Wilford “Whizzer” White, the father of former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Danny White and a member of the Arizona State hall of fame, died Thursday of an apparent heart attack. He was 84.
