Obituary: Witte, Cheryl “Cheri”

Age 67

WITTE, Cheryl ” Cheri ” (Age 67) Cheryl “Cheri” Witte a Wenatchee Valley resident for over 40 years, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Blossom Valley Assisted Living in Wenatchee, following a 16 year struggle with heart disease.

She was born on May 24, 1946 at Colville, Washington to the late Clifford and Marion (Burnside) Williams.

She was raised and received her elementary schooling in Colville, prior to the family moving to Post Falls, Idaho.

She attended high school and graduated from the Post Falls High School in 1964.

She furthered her education attending Business College in Spokane.

Upon completion of her education, she worked at various jobs in Spokane.

In 1973, she accepted a job as Office Manager of Gold Key Reality in Wenatchee.

A short while later, she went to work as a Legal Secretary and Office Manager for the Wenatchee City Attorney, Larry Carlson.

She retired after working over 20 years and focused on making a special home for her family.

On March 1, 1975, she was married to Larry Witte in Wenatchee.

They made their first home together in East Wenatchee and through their years together, they have also lived in the Sunnyslope area, and Wenatchee.

She was a member of the Calvary Chapel Fellowship in East Wenatchee.

Cheri loved her family, children and grandchildren immensely.

She was always a animal nut.

She enjoyed travelling, both in their airplane or the boat, and going fishing especially up the coast through the inside passage to Canada.

She is survived by her love for over 40 years, her husband, Larry Witte, Wenatchee; two daughters and one son-in-law, Crystal and Robert Maginity, Avondale, Arizona and Jody Witte, East Wenatchee; sister, Claudia Mellen, Vancouver, Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Zana Williams, Surprise, AZ; two granddaughters, Casey Weaver and Cassidy Weaver both of East Wenatchee and her cat “Smokey”.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held at a later date.
