Pullman police arrested a Washington State University administrator Sunday on second-degree charges of child molestation.
Police say Jud Preece, identified by the university as the senior associate director of membership services for the school’s alumni association, was booked into the Whitman County Jail on Sunday on suspicion of molesting a 13-year-old girl.
Preece was being held in the jail on Monday morning pending a first appearance in Whitman County Superior Court.
Police were first made aware of the alleged contact Saturday morning, said Pullman Police spokesman Chris Tennant. After following through on the investigation, they apprehended Preece Sunday morning.
