Fraudulent charges

Quick, run! Hide! The liberal Democrats like Stephen Drummond (July 28) and Stacy Scobby (July 29) are at it again with their slice-and-dice tirade against Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers with their lies, half-truths and innuendoes.

What the GOP has said is that they want to sever the food stamp program from its existing program in agriculture budget and make it a free-standing program on its own merits. What are the Democrats afraid of? That the people who are funding (the taxpayers) the food stamp program would suddenly find out just exactly how much is being spent on the program?

There has been fraud in the food stamp program in Washington state. Don’t the Democrats want to find out how much of the taxpayers’ money is being stolen?

Come on, guys, time to clean up your distasteful tactics.
