One dead in four-vehicle collision in Spokane Valley

The roadway is now clear, according to the Washington State Patrol. More information is forthcoming.

One person is dead after a four-vehicle collision in Spokane Valley on Wednesday.

The four-vehicle crash occurred at 5:19 p.m. and is blocking both eastbound lanes of traffic on Trent Avenue, according to a Washington State Patrol press release. Alcohol or drugs may have been involved in the crash.

The victim died at Sacred Heart Hospital at 6:11 p.m, according to the press release. WSP has not indicated the cause of the crash.
