Obituary: Werner, Dolly May (Howard)

Age 79

WERNER, Dolly May (Howard) (Age 79) Born on May 17, 1934 in Cliffdell, WA, to Alice and Noyes Howard, Dolly passed away on July 30, 2013 at home in Spokane, WA.

She was raised in Yakima, WA, went on to graduate from Central WA College of Education in the Spring of 1955.

She married Reuel Werner (aka “Curly”) in October 1955 and together they served in the USAF until his retirement in 1975.

Dolly taught grade school for many years in Texas, New Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

She worked four years in the Library at EWU Cheney, then as a loan officer with Fairchild Credit Union.

Dolly loved music and sang with several choral groups, as well as taught piano in her spare time.

She was a highly skilled artist in many disciplines.

She is survived by her husband, Curly, at home; two children, son, Richard Werner (wife, Celia Jill) of Oroville, WA and daughter, Diana Werner of Rosehill, KS; three grandchildren, Sawyer, Levi, and Alexa of Oroville; one sister, Glenis Trammell of Yakima, WA; and one sister-in-law, Beverly Brathovde of Spokane.

Memorial service will be held at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA, on SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, 2013 at 11:00 am.
