Obituary: Reardon, Donna Jean
Age 83
She passed away peacefully from our arms into the loving arms of Jesus.
Mom was born May 26, 1930 to Horace L. (Bud) Bennett and Thelma M. (Peck) Bennett in Spokane, Washington.
She graduated from Marycliff High School in 1948.
On June 17, 1950, she married James W. Reardon Sr. at St. Al’s.
They made their home in Ritzville, and in 1951 they moved to Spencer, Iowa.
The Midwest was their home until 1977 when they moved back to the Pacific Northwest.
Mom retired from the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in 2000.
Mom is survived by her son, James W. Reardon Jr. of Kent, WA and his children: Megan, Molly and Brynna Reardon; her daughter, Susan (Lance) Verity, and their children: Sarah (Justin) Kneff and Christopher Verity; she also leaves behind two sisters: Joyce (Fred) Hooker and Kathy (Larry) Myers; her one brother, Larry Bennett; as well as a great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
She also leaves behind her beloved dog Snickers.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; husband James, son Michael Reardon and brother Howard Bennett.
Mom was a long time member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
We would like to thank Sunshine Gardens and Hospice of Spokane for their loving care of Mom and our family.
We love and miss you Mom-you were the best Mom and Grandma-your love knew no boundaries.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd.
A Vigil will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 503 N. Walnut St. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., also at St. John Vianney.
Donna will be laid to rest Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery.
