Northwestern Mutual financial representative Mark Lupton has received the company’s Emerald award. The award recognizes representatives who have provided outstanding service in helping clients achieve financial security.

Government

Chris Beck has been appointed to the Idaho Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. Beck is the mayor of Hayden Lake and will be representing water interests for a two-year term. He is a registered professional engineer in Idaho and Washington with more than 30 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer.

Health care

Alpine Vision Center of Moscow and Lewiston has hired Stacie Zollman. Zollman is an optometrist who specializes in diagnosing and treating ocular disease and low vision issues.

Mary Schaefer Badger has completed the required training and experience to become a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. Badger is a physician at Northside Internal Medicine/Columbia Medical Associates, where she has practiced medicine since 1989.

Hospitality

The Hampton Inn Spokane Airport has hired Tracy Isakson as sales manager. Previously, Isakson was general manager of Ashley Furniture Homestore.

Law

Geana Van Dessel and Reid Johnson have joined the firm of Lee & Hayes, PLLC. Van Dessel has experience in complex commercial litigation and has represented clients in federal and state courts. Johnson has experience in business litigation, including securities, banking, commercial, contract, insurance, real estate and intellectual property. Previously, Van Dessel was a shareholder with the firm of Witherspoon Kelley and Johnson was a clerk at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division III.

Toastmasters International District 9, which includes 63 Toastmasters clubs in the Inland Northwest, has elected Natalie Palmer as the lieutenant governor education and training. Palmer has been a member of Toastmasters since 2008.

The executive editor at Eagle Eye Editing and Writing, Joanie Eppinga, has received two national religious press awards. She received first place in the Higher Goals contest in the Interview category from the Evangelical Church Press and an Award of Merit in the category of Writing and Reporting: Interview from the Associated Church Press.

Nancy Loberg has joined Coldwell Banker Tomlinson North. Loberg specializes in residential real estate and worked previously in ad sales for the Inland Register for the Diocese of Spokane.

James Creviston III has joined Keller Williams Realty Spokane. Previously, he worked in the construction business in Kansas.
