MIGLIURI, Bette Joan (Age 72) Entered into rest August 8, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Care Center. She was born on September 6, 1940 in Spokane to Bob and Elizabeth (Domitrovich) Migliuri. Bette grew up in St. Aloysius Parish; she attended St. Aloysius Grade School and Lewis and Clark High School, where she was on the journal staff. Bette continued her education and graduated from Holy Names College in 1965. Bette expressed her love of writing by spending hours writing letters to friends and family. Long before the advent of the internet, she kept everyone informed. As her brother, Don, used to say, “There are three ways to get information out, telephone, telegram or teleBette.” She also always enjoyed playing Scrabble and was quite a champion. She took great delight in winning, and more often than not, she did. While at St. Joseph’s she enjoyed playing Bingo and won many of the gifts that she gave to the family. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Elizabeth (Domitrovich) Migliuri and her brother, Donald Migliuri. She is survived by her brother Gary Migliuri, of Spokane; her aunts Barbara Domitrovich and Eleanor Monte both of Spokane; nieces Melissa (Chris Nelson) Migliuri, of Spokane Valley, Patricia (Meghan Roos) Migliuri, of Buhl, ID, Meredith (Rob Ackaret) Migliuri, of Spokane, Jenna (Jon) Hudlow of Kathmandu, Nepal; and nephews Benjamin Migliuri, of Spokane and Dr. Joseph (Melissa) Migliuri, of Virginia; five great-nieces, one great-nephew and numerous cousins. Visitation will be Monday, August 12th from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service beginning at 7 p.m., at Hennessey Smith Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 13th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 330 E. Boone Ave., Spokane, with committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N.
