(Age 88) Passed peacefully August 7, 2013, in Spokane, WA.
Glenn was born February 12, 1925 in Four Lakes, WA, to Clara and Stanley Spear.
He graduated from Cheney High School in 1943.
He married Alta L. Rasmussen May 11, 1945 in Cheney, WA.
They had a son, Steven.
His parents, wife and siblings preceded him in death.
What is a great man?
Is it that he was married to the same woman, Alta, for 62 years?
Is it that he was proud of his son, Steve, his wife Sharon and grandchildren, Zack and Shelby?
Could it be that he served his country during World War II in the Navy?
Or maybe it’s that he was a master diesel mechanic, master electrician and master metal smith with a quick wit, honesty, and a caring man who would help anyone in need.
Or maybe being the last charter member of local 1135 who first organized the county road department employees.
His greatness won’t be judged by his life’s accomplishments, but by how much he was loved.
