Railroads: Provide pedestrian crossings

Sun., Aug. 11, 2013

Considering how much land the railroads were given by the government, and all the subsidies they have received over the years, not to mention their high prices, and not to mention all the people who have lost their lives at their crossings, it seems like it would be a noble gesture on their part if they would help Spokane County construct a couple of pedestrain overpasses or underpasses over the two sets of tracks between Fish Lake and Marshall.

The trail is already beautiful but the railroad bridges would eliminate the need for bikers, hikers, and horsemen to brave the traffic on the highway between Fish Lake and Marshall to where the trail continues.
