CdA police looking for man who robbed gas station

Coeur d’Alene police are looking for a man who displayed a weapon to a gas station clerk early Tuesday and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The armed robbery occurred shortly after 3 a.m. at the Mobil gas station at 502 W. Appleway Ave., according to a news release. The suspect is described as having a small build, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask. He was riding a small BMX style bicycle and security cameras captured his image. The video is being processed by investigators.

Law enforcement responded to the scene quickly, but the suspect got away heading east on Appleway. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at 208-769-2320.
