Ended The Big Ten, Pac-12 and Southeastern are following the NCAA’s lead and will no longer allow EA Sports to use league logos in its college football video games. The NCAA announced last month it will no longer allow Electronic Arts Inc. to use its logo starting next year. The move comes as the NCAA fights a high-profile lawsuit that says the governing body owes millions of dollars to former players for allowing their likenesses to be used for free.

Traded The Houston Astros have traded minor league left-hander pitcher Travis Blackley to the Texas Rangers for cash and a player to be named later. The 30-year-old Blackley went 1-1 with a 4.89 ERA in 42 relief appearances for Houston this season before being designated for assignment.

• The Kansas City Royals have acquired versatile Emilio Bonifacio from the Toronto Blue Jays for cash or a player to be named later. Bonifacio was traded to the Blue Jays from the Marlins last offseason, and was hitting .218 with three homers and 12 stolen bases.

Bought The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl is being bought by ESPN. Bowl officials said in a statement Wednesday that the network had agreed in principle to acquire the bowl game from the Humanitarian Bowl Inc.
