Bank robbery suspect considered armed and dangerous

A man suspected of robbing three banks in the last week is considered a threat to the community. Police believe Scott Ruziecki, 41, robbed the Banner Bank branch in a Safeway on 3919 N. Market St. on Aug. 9, according to a news release. Tuesday, he allegedly robbed the U.S. Bank on Argonne Road and Trent Avenue. Today, police believe it was Ruziecki who robbed the Banner Bank branch on Mission Avenue and Hamilton Street at about 10 a.m. Ruziecki is armed with a handgun and has allegedly threatened to shoot law enforcement if confronted, according to the news release. The sheriff’s office urges anyone with information about Ruziecki’s whereabouts or who sees him to call 911 immediately. Citizens should not attempt to contact him.
