Indians sweep Devils

PASCO – Eric Brooks fired five shutout innings and the Spokane Indians scored four runs with two outs in the seventh inning en route to a 5-2 victory and a sweep of the Tri-City Dust Devils in Northwest League play on Thursday.

Cam Schiller helped the Indians snap a scoreless tie in the seventh when he stroked a one-out single and moved to second base on a wild pitch with two outs. Barrett Serrato singled to drive in Schiller. Evan Van Hooser and Eduard Pinto added RBI singles and Van Hoosier scored the inning’s final run on a wild pitch.

Spokane (31-28) improved to 11-10 in the second half and sits in first place.
