Obituary: Montague, George Howard

MONTAGUE, George Howard (Age 87) He was born in Brandon, OR to Joseph and Beth Clement Tyler Montague and grew up living his younger years in California and later in Idaho.

He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII.

George had a number of businesses over the years, but is best known for Montague Truck Parts and A-American Recycling locally in Spokane, WA.

George also worked for Pacific Steel for many years and was active in the community, helping to start the WA State Wreckers Association and helped in the formation of the Spokane East Rotary Chapter.

George is survived by his wife JoAnn Montague, residing in Duncan, OK, his sister Elizabeth Montague Whatley, Kettle Falls, WA, Carolyn Montague (Larry), Jerry and Bonnie Montague, MaryAnne Montague (Garry), Kerry and Elaine Montague, Dana and Steve Foust, David and Nancy Wagner, Chuck Wagner, and numerous grandchildren, relatives and friends who love him dearly.

Preceding George in death were his daughter Connie Marie, his first wife Martha, and two sons Garry and Larry.

A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 2pm at the Corbin Senior Center located at 827 W. Cleveland, Spokane, WA.

Service is open to friends and family.
