North Idaho College has named Tim Gerlitz as the director of the Center for Educational Access. Previously, Gerlitz was the Medicaid program manager for Regions 1 and 2 for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. He also worked as the statewide bureau quality manager for the Bureau of Developmental Disability Services.

Engineering

Ryan Moore, Dwight Grassle and Jason Von Lindern have joined Taylor Engineering. Moore is the new controller and previously worked for Accra-Fab. He has more than 10 years of experience in his field. Grassle and Von Lindern are field surveyors. Grassle has more than 17 years of experience surveying in the Western United States. Von Lindern is a licensed land surveying intern and has more than 10 years of experience.

Hospitality

Harry Sladich, from the Red Lion Hotels Corp., has been named executive committee member at-large for the 2013-15 Destination & Travel Foundation Board of Trustees. He has been a member of the board of trustees since 2012 and also serves as a U.S. Travel Association at-large director.

Law

James Fiorito and Rhett Barney have joined the firm of Lee & Hayes PLLC. Fiorito will be working with the Chemical and Life Science Practice Group as a patent attorney. Previously, he was with the firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett and Dunner in Washington, D.C. Fiorito also worked as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Barney has extensive experience in trademark, copyright, and other matters related to intellectual property. Previously, he was the founder of Barney IP.

• Bernina has presented Treasure and Scott Auble of the Quilting Bee with the 2012 Rookie of the Year Award. The award recognizes a new dealer that delivered impressive results and training.

Nonprofit

The March of Dimes Washington Chapter has named Sandi Heffernan, a corporate controller for the Red Lion Hotels Corp., as senior vice president of the board of directors.

• The Artisans, a nonprofit organization that provides employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, has been accredited by CARF International for its community employment and employment planning programs. The three-year accreditation is the highest level of accreditation awarded to an organization and represents a commitment to high-quality programs and services that are measureable and accountable.

• The Inland Northwest Community Foundation has awarded $216,300 in grants from its Equinox Foundation Fund to 21 nonprofit organizations serving Bonner and Boundary counties.

Erin Jennings has joined Windermere North Spokane LLC as a broker. Previously, Jennings was an instructional assistant with the Mead School District and a marketing coordinator for Tomlinson Black.

John Wilkinson, Rebecca Tripp and Kaci Stuck have joined Etailz. Wilkinson is a web software and applications developer; Tripp is a customer care specialist; and Stuck is a vendor onboarding specialist.
