Sammamish squad loses at LLWS
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Winning pitcher Harry Azadian had three hits and four RBIs and Westport, Conn., held off Sammamish, Wash., 9-7 on Sunday to stay unbeaten in the Little League World Series.
Westport (2-0) will play Chula Vista, Calif., on Wednesday. Sammamish gets Urbandale, Iowa today.
Westport sent 12 batters to the plate in the seven-run second inning. In the inning, Sammamish starting pitcher Jacob Dahlstrom was struck on the side of his right knee with a line drive and had to leave the game.
Sammamish rallied after Azadian was pulled by scoring twice in the fourth and four times more in the fifth.
