Obituary: Fuller, Elisabeth (Parsons)
Age 93
She was the daughter of a Baptist minister, Harlow W. Parsons and mother, Mildred Burns Parsons.
Married to Morris E. Fuller on October 16, 1943.
She attended Wheaton College and completed the nurses training program at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY, receiving her Registered Nurse License in the fall of 1943.
In March of 1950, Liz, Ev and their four children left for Ecuador as medical missionaries serving until 1966.
They were supported by First Presbyterian Church of Schenectady, NY.
They moved to Southern California in 1966 where Ev started a medical practice.
They continued short term medical mission work in Ecuador, Kenya, and Israel.
Their most recent place of residence was Spokane.
Liz was known for her friendliness, hospitality and kindness.
She was a prolific letter writer, enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry, knitting, fishing, and throwing paper airplanes.
She and her husband Ev were also known for their habit of daily “devotions” which included praying for family and friends from two 3x5 boxes alphabetized from A to Z.
She is preceded in death by her husband Everett, her son Larry, and her daughter Susie.
She is survived by four sons, Dave, Dan, Rick, and Don, all of Spokane; a daughter, Nancy Boyes who lives in Ecuador; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar St, Monday, August 26, at 4:00 p.m.
