Pools preparing to close for season

The pools in Spokane Valley remain open for just a few days longer: Valley Mission Pool/Lazy River, 11123 E. Mission Ave., is open through Saturday; Terrace View Pool/Zero Depth Entry Pool and Splash Buckets, 13525 E. 24th Ave., is open through Sept. 2. Swim fee is $1 per person, and children younger than 5 swim for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Valley Mission Pool is open to local dogs on Sunday from 1-2:15 p.m. for dogs 59 pounds or lighter and from 2:30-3:45 p.m. for dogs 60 pounds or heavier. Dog swims are also available on Monday from 4:45-6 p.m. for dogs 59 pounds or lighter and from 6:15-7:30 p.m. for dogs 60 pounds or heavier. For more information visit www.spokanevalley.org/pools.
