Braegger leads city golf championship

Kevin Braegger shot a 65 at Downriver – the lowest round of the day – and leads by a stroke over John Payton and Rob Seibly after the second round of the Odom Spokane City Championship golf tournament Saturday.

Payton shot a 68 and Seibly shot a 69.

Three other players – Dan Ashlock, Kenyan Fanslow and Nate Hair – are three shots back.

Jim O’Rourke shot a 70 and leads Jeff Koppa by a stroke in the senior division. The tournament concludes today at The Creek at Qualchan.

Women’s soccer

Tiffany Draper’s hat-trick propelled North Idaho past Dodge City Community College 7-3 in the Cardinals’ season opener in Powell, Wyo.

Draper scored twice in the first half and another in the second. Jaimee Hulst added a pair of goals for NIC.
