Jensen-Byrd degrades campus

Thank you for informing us (Aug. 11) of the efforts to save the old Jensen-Byrd building, adjacent to our sparkling new campus. I think it would be a shame if we tried to make this a part of the campus. Those hoping to somehow remodel it to make it a truly essential part of the campus; let them show us how.

The picture of our city looking west from the top of the Jensen-Byrd building looks like a vibrant city. Turn the view around looking east at the Jensen-Byrd building, and what we see is ugly.

We have a beautiful campus, with handsome new buildings nearing completion. What we need are new student apartments instead of a remodeled, drab, old building.
