Obituary: Baker, Joy (Mcdonald)

BAKER, Joy (McDonald) September 16, 1921 - August 20, 2013 Joy was born and raised in Spokane.

She met George at North Central High School and it was love at first sight; they were married for 52 years.

George passed away in 1993.

Joy leaves with love, Jan Foster (Gary) and Michael Baker, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Joy was always active as a Girl Scout Leader of troop #125, PTA at Field School, and 50 years with the Dirt Daubers Garden Club.

Joy was always there for her family and friends in their times of need, and loved each and every day; especially when she was at the family cabin.

We give many thanks to the staff at Hospice House of Spokane for making her last days so peaceful.

A gravesite service will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, August 29, 2013 at 2:30 PM.
