Obituary: Dehart, June

Age 87

DeHart June (Age 87) June Carol De Hart was born June 17, 1926 in Rushford Township of Omro, Wisconsin to Oscar and Viola Steinke.

June and her sister Ruth grew up on the family farm.

After June graduated in 1944, she moved to Oshkosh, WI June met Harold DeHart who was in the Navy.

Upon Harold’s discharge from the Navy, he moved to Helena, Montana where he helped opened a second hand furniture store.

June followed later and in 1946 they were married.

Harold and June welcomed a son Darrell in 1946, and Shirley, a daughter in 1951.

As the furniture business expanded, they moved in 1957 to Spokane to help open Self Service Furniture.

Harold passed away in 1965 with cancer, and June went to work for the Salvation Army.

Three years later she married William DeHart and they lived in Missoula for the next 16 years.

Upon retiring, June and William retuned to Spokane to be near Darrell DeHart of Yakima, Washington, who was a national sales representative for Sun Kist Growers and Shirley Bond of Spokane, Washington, a retired school teacher.

June had two grandchildren; Lesley Schwaegle of Spokane, WA and Greg Allmain of Tacoma, WA.

Great grandchildren; Liam and Genny Allmain of Tacoma, WA.

June had many hobbies throughout the years which included, camping, bowling, reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting and macrame.

The Neptune Society is in charge of Cremation arrangements.

There will be no memorial services.
