Obituary: Keen, Catherine M. “Cathy”

KEEN , Cathy “Murphy” July 23, 1928~Aug 9,2013 Cathy Keen (Catherine M. Flerchinger, Brossoit, aka “Murphy”) passed away on Friday, August 9th at her home in Renton, WA.

Born July 23, 1928, she grew up in Clarkston, WA and married Arthur Brossoit.

She lived in Ephrata, WA while raising her six children then moved to Spokane in 1970 until 2011.

While in Spokane she worked at the Spokane Transit Authority where she met the love of her life and beloved husband Robert Keen who precedes her in death.

Her surviving children are Jan Copeland, Doug Brossoit, Sam Brossoit, Renee Grant, Scott Brossoit, Nick Brossoit and a stepdaughter, Tammy James.

One of twelve children, Cathy is survived by three sisters, Alice Flerchinger, Marge Servatius, Felista Martin and two brothers, John Flerchinger and Don Flerchinger.

She also has five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Rest in peace, dear mother, sister and best friend.

You are reunited with the love of your life.

Services will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace on October 12th.
