Obituary: Riccardi, Barbara Anne “Bobbie”

Age 85

RICCARDI, Barbara Anne “Bobbie” (Age 84) August 30, 1928 - August 23, 2013 Bobbie passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She was born August 30th, 1928 in Denver, Colorado.

After high school she married the “love of her life” Ray Riccardi and moved to the Spokane area.

She lived a wonderfully full life as a wife, mother and homemaker.

After raising five children and helping with her many grandchildren, she became an entrepreneur with her husband Ray, at the age of 50, starting and running a successful business until retiring in 1995.

Her favorite passions were spending time with her children and grandchildren at their lake cabin on Coeur d’Alene Lake, traveling throughout the country by motorhome, and visits to the casino.

Toward the end of her life, Bobbie especially loved dancing to the “Oldies Big Band Hits” at her snowbird home in Mesa, Arizona.

She was truly a sweet person who loved having chats and coffee with her good friends and neighbors and in the winter, loved the Arizona sunshine.

She was very compassionate and dearly loved her various dogs and cats over the years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hattie Burns, two sisters and a brother.

She was also deeply saddened with the loss of the eldest son, Ray “Rick”.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Raymond; daughters, Laura Babb, Kathy Bauernschmidt (Bill), Robin Cuculich (Roy); son Kerry Riccardi (Becky); daughter-in-law, Sandy Riccardi.

Grandchildren; Toni Ann Brugger, Holly Maxey, Nicole Munk, Jodi Babb, Ginny Vance, Kimberly Babb, Jenelle Cuculich, Brandon Cuculich; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11 am at the Pines Cemetery Mausoleum, 1402 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
