Three world class guitarists will come to Spokane this fall to help raise funds for KSPS public television.
The duo of Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo will be joined by Peppino D’Agostino for a concert at the Bing Crosby Theater on Nov. 20. But first, Vignola and Raniolo will perform live on Sept. 10 during KSPS’s annual fall pledge drive. Viewers will be able to get premium tickets to the concert at the Bing by making a donation to support Spokane’s public television station.
After the pledge drive is over, tickets will go on sale to the general public Sept. 16. Cost will be $25. Look for more purchasing details in coming weeks.
Vignola is a jazz guitarist who has played with Les Paul, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel and Ringo Starr. Joining him on the road for 150 to 200 dates a year is Raniolo. Their most recent album together is “Melody Magic.”
D’Agostino, who moved to the U.S. from Italy 25 years ago, was voted Best Acoustic Guitarist by the readers of Guitar Player magazine in 2007; his list of awards is lengthy. The Anchorage Daily News once proclaimed him an “astonishing entertainer.”
