Coeur d’Alene girls stop Lewis and Clark

Brittany Tackett tallied a game-high 18 points and Coeur d’Alene jumped ahead early and held on to beat Lewis and Clark 60-45 in a nonleague game Saturday at Lewis and Clark.

Sydney Williams added 15 points for the Vikings (3-0), who outscored the Tigers 15-8 in the first quarter. Lindsay Lee and Riley Lupfer combined for 25 points for LC (0-1).

Lake City 51, Wenatchee 38: Madi Farrell scored 12 points and Clarissa Smith added 10 as the Timberwolves (3-0) topped the Panthers in a nonleague game in Coeur d’Alene.

Wellpinit 43, Springdale 42: Kyra Andrews scored 12 points and the Redskins (1-0) edged the host Chargers (0-1). Bailey Brown tallied a game-high 23 points for Springdale.

Kellogg 50, Coeur d’Alene Charter 18: Jesse Gibbons made four 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 18 points to guide the Wildcats (3-0) past the Panthers (0-2) in a nonleague game in Coeur d’Alene.

Kellogg shook off a sluggish start by outscoring Coeur d’Alene Charter 18-3 in the second quarter and 18-4 in the fourth.
