God missing from documents

Regarding the Nov. 24 letter from Larry Treffry: I’m not having any luck finding the word “god” in either the U.S. Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

Would you please point out where they are located?

As to the Pledge of Allegiance – written by a Baptist minister in the early 1900s – “under God” was added in the mid-1950s during the paranoia over communism, in the Sen. Joseph McCarthy era.
