Obituary: Amann, Joseph Peter

AMANN, Joseph Peter (Age 88) Joseph entered into rest November 26, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Carol Amann; his brother Al; and a blended family of: Joe M., Tom, Ellen, Gayle, Rick, Ron and Candace; numerous nieces and nephews; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; daughter, Cathy; and son, Billy.

Joe was a veteran of the US Navy in WWII serving in the south pacific theater.

He retired after 42 years at Calkins Mfg., which was his sole job.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed running, hiking, biking, family camping, golfing and cross country skiing.

His main hobby was woodworking.

Joe was a hard worker, man of integrity, and devoted family man who will be sincerely missed by his family and friends.

Viewing will be prior to the 11am service, Friday, December 6th at Hennessey Funeral Home, followed immediately by a reception.

A subsequent graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery; 7200 N Wall St at 2pm.
