Obituary: Dixon, Betty J.

Age 84

DIXON, Betty J.

(Greear) (Age 84) We love you.

We love you.

We love you.

On Monday November 25th, our mother’s long journey with alzheimers came to an end.

She was born in Spokane to Charles and Carrie Greearon May 8th 1929.

We would like to dedicate our mother to the sacred heart of Jesus who gave so much love to this world and recieved so little in return.

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise You.

Because of Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world.

Mom attended North Central high school where she excelled at track.

She loved to run.

She also loved to ice skate and taught herself to jump.

Even lately the mention of a trip to a rink brought a special gleam to her eye.

She was a talented accordian player and played in the Evergreen accordian club.

She is the mother of seven children and for years kept a house and assisted dad in his shop as a seamstress, and a runner of countless errands for both.

Later in life she loved to sell Aloe Vera.

She loved her customers and was very successful.

She made little money, but loved distributing the hope of it all, as well as fellowshiping with her aloe friends.

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Paul; and her children, Carrie, Michael, Randy, Kathleen, Benny, Jason and Wade.

She is also survived by her sisters; Marilee, Patty, and Judy; one brother, Mike; 20 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

Oh we wish we could hold your soft hand again…But now we must let go your hand, and take our arm from around your shoulder… so you can tap your toes to sweeter sounds in a better world.

Though He was harshly treated, He submitted and opened not His mouth; He was silent and uttered no cry.

When He was cut off from the land of the living, and smitten for the sin of His people, though He had done no wrong nor spoken any falsehood.

(Isaiah.

53:7 and 9) Your finally held truly safe and well in His hands.

We love you, O Betty and adore you.

Amen.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th from 9:00AM - 5:00PM and again on Monday, December 2nd from 9:00AM - 8:00PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 4305 N DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA.
