CdA police investigating child enticing incident

Girl, 11, approached in parking lot

Coeur d’Alene police are looking for a man they say approached an 11-year-old girl in the parking lot of an outdoor sports shop over the weekend.

The suspect is described as a white man, possibly in his 40s or 50s, standing about 6 feet tall with a “heavier build.” The man approached the girl Saturday afternoon as she sat alone in a car parked at Tri-State Outfitters near the Silver Lake Mall in north Coeur d’Alene, according to a news release. After trying to convince her to open the door and she refused, the man left in a silver, four-door sedan with tinted windows and a rear spoiler.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at (208) 769-2320.
