Obituary: Dubois, Charles Henry (Brown)

Age 88

DUBOIS, Charles Henry (Brown) (Age 88) Was born in Spokane August 15, 1925 to Anne and Albert Dubois, passing away in Spokane November 28, 2013.

He attended Sacred Heart School, Gonzaga High School.

He served in the Pacific Theatre in WWII on the USS Gilmore as a Frogman in the Navy.

He returned to finish high school.

He worked for Pacific Fruit and the railroad for 35 years.

He married Jackie and had three children: Jacqueline, Marc and Adele.

He later married Shirley, and had many wonderful years with her and her family, Lynn (Steve) O’Neall ,Michael (Chrissy) Hall, Marsha (Leonard) Parks, Larry (Terry) Hall, and Richard (Debbie) Dubois.

He is also survived by his daughter Adele (Dave) Ward; brother Harvey (Sonya) Dubois; and sister Donna (Buell) Hollister and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, son Marc and daughter Jackie, sisters and one brother.

He loved horse racing, spending time at Diamond Lake, loved to sing, for the Moose-Glee Men, St. Charles and St. Patrick’s Choir.

Charles sang “O Holy Night” for 72 years.

He was a lifetime member of VFW 1474, a member of the Teamsters.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 4th from 2-5:00 PM.

A Vigil Service will also be at the funeral home on Thursday, December 5th at 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Mass will be will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Friday, December 6th at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Charles always did it “My Way”.
