Obituary: Miller, Dora May

Age 88

MILLER, Dora May (Age 88) Passed away Wednes-day, November 27, 2013 at Ladow Court Assisted Living in Garfield, WA.

She was born November 20, 1925 in Potlatch, ID to Nels and Nancy Opstrup.

After graduating Potlatch High School in 1943, Dora worked in Bremerton, WA until her marriage to Gerald Miller on March 20, 1945 in Spokane, WA.

After her marriage, she resided in the Garfield area until her death.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Garfield, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and the DuoDeckum Bridge Club.

Dora loved crafts, particularly tole painting, crossword puzzles, cooking, entertaining family and friends and decorating her home for holidays.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald of Garfield; daughter Judith (Rich) Olson of Garfield; son James (Sandra) Miller of Falls Church, VA; five grandsons - Andrew (Stacie) Olson of Garfield, Jeffery Olson of Pasvik, Norway, Matthew (Allison) Miller of Alexandria, VA, Jon (Jonelle) Olson of Garfield, Adam (Amber) Miller of Phoenix, AZ; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her brother William of Everett, WA and sister Donna (Alan) Wride of Garfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Garfield Christian Church, Garfield, WA followed by a family burial service at the Oakesdale Cemetery in Oakesdale, WA.

Reverend King Rockhill will officiate at the services.
