Obituary: Hatten, Steven Leroy

Age 61

HATTEN, Steven LeRoy (Age 61) Died November 27, 2013 in St. Anthony, ID., where he was living.

Born on June 26, 1952, in Spokane, WA, to Lloyd and Frances (Daniel) Hatten.

Steve was raised in Harrington, WA, along with his siblings, Doug, Patty, and Art.

After graduating from Harrington High School in 1971, Steve built and ran his own excavating business, SL Hatten Excavation (later Lincoln Central Excavating) for 23 years in Lincoln County, where he spent 20 years with Sue Hatten.

Steve was a skillful operator who showed great pride in his work.

Steve is survived by his son, Justin Hatten; and grandchildren, Clayton, Kyle and Emilee’, of Davenport, WA; daughter, Lacy (Jason) Williams; and grandson, Cash, of Raleigh, NC; brothers, Doug and Art Hatten, both of Harrington, WA; brother-in-law, Dean Schillinger, Sr., of Davenport, WA; and nieces and nephews, Christal, Tina, Wanda, Dean, Brian, Sara, Kenny, Noel, Abby, Alex; and dear friends, Don Dibble, Mitch Matoon, Rick Mortensen, and Gary Overmyer.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at the Davenport Memorial Hall in Davenport, WA, on Wednesday, December 11th, at 11 a.m.
