Obituary: Kropff, Mary C.
Age 87
Raised a farm girl in the Depression she was the youngest sister of Harold, Joseph and Edna Catlett.
Later she moved to Spokane with her family and attended North Central High School.
During WWII she aided in the war effort at the Department of the Army Air Depot Spokane, working on airplanes.
After the war she married Harry Daggett, a decorated Marine veteran with whom she had her three children.
Harry preceded her in death due to a tragic accident in 1953.
She spent most of her working career in a variety of civil service jobs at Fairchild Air Force Base, retiring in 1987.
Mary is survived by daughter Claudia (Patrick) McCrow; and sons Baird (Michelle) Daggett, and Doug (Robin) Kropff; she is also survived by grandchildren Brooke Kropff, Jonathan Kropff, Carly Score, Justin Kropff, Ryan McCrow, Harrison McCrow, Mary Eddy; and six great grandchildren.
She will be greatly and lovingly missed by all.
Mary loved to garden and loved her family.
Graveside services will be held on Monday December 9th at Fairmont Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane at 1 pm.
Mary’s family has asked that you honor her life not with flowers but with a donation to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
