From Wire Reports

Prince Harry and his fellow adventurers have made it to the South Pole.

Harry, 29, is a member of one of three teams involving injured soldiers that set out two weeks ago on the 200-mile Walking with the Wounded South Pole Challenge. The charity said Friday that the teams arrived at the South Pole at 5:25 a.m. PST.

The challenge was initially a race but organizers suspended the competitive element last week due to harsh conditions.

Beyonce breaks ground with release

Beyonce has released her new album in an unconventional way: She announced and dropped it on the same day.

The singer released “Beyonce” exclusively on iTunes early Friday. She mirrors how her husband, Jay Z, released “Magna Carta Holy Grail” earlier this year – through a deal with Samsung where he gave the album to 1 million users of Galaxy mobile phones days before its official release.

The album caused a stir on social media websites, with fans posting about the release early Friday morning. Twitter said Beyonce’s album release generated over 1.2 million tweets in 12 hours, with a tweets-per-minute spike of 5,300. The tweets-per-minute count around the album surpassed the record set when the Syfy TV movie “Sharknado” aired in July, Twitter added.

Kardashian files for divorce

After months of speculation, Khloe Kardashian is ending her four-year marriage to Lamar Odom. The reality TV star filed for divorce Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

The filing comes days after Odom pleaded no contest on Monday to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge. The 34-year-old athlete was arrested last August after his Mercedes-Benz SUV was seen weaving on an LA freeway. The 6-foot-10-inch power forward has been out of the NBA since going unsigned as a free agent after a miserable season last year.

Kardashian, 29, is best known for starring with her sisters Kim and Kourtney, and their mother, Kris Jenner, in the long-running reality TV series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
