In brief: Police seek suspect in Chevron robbery

Post Falls police responded to a gas station robbery Friday night.

A man entered the Ross Point Chevron at 4020 E. Seltice Way in Post Falls at 10:50 p.m. Friday and demanded that the clerk hand over cash, according to a news release. He did not display a weapon or make any threats.

The man is described as a 30- to 40-year-old white male wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt, gray gloves and a black scarf over his face.

Collision with tree kills Rathdrum man

A driver from Rathdrum was killed when he crashed into a tree in Coeur d’Alene early Saturday.

Joshua T. Means, 39, was driving southbound on Lambert Lane in Coeur d’Alene at 12:18 a.m., according to an Idaho State Police news release. Means lost control on the slushy and icy road, driving off the roadway and colliding with a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Means died as a result of his injuries, the ISP said.

Proposal regulates mule deer hunting

HELENA – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks on Thursday approved a plan to allow hunting only mature male mule deer throughout Montana, and only male white-tailed deer in three eastern Montana regions.

The agency is accepting public comments on the plan and will likely make a decision in February.
