CCS wins Bates tournament again

EUGENE – Kwinn Hanson scored 36 points and Chase Haack 22 to lead CC Spokane to a 105-102 victory over Southwest Oregon on Sunday in the Dale Bates Tournament championship game at Lane CC.

The Sasquatch (7-3) won the title for the third straight time and fourth time in five years.

Hanson made 14 of 18 shots, all eight of his free throws, and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds. Dean Richey added 14 points, Sam Druffel 12 and Jack Nygaard 11. The Sasquatch shot 53.5 percent, including 11 of 34 3-point attempts. CCS made 18 of 20 free throws.

The Lakers are 8-3.
