S-R exposes the truth

Kudos to Shawn Vestal for his investigative work in bringing us the Nov. 2 article about the Idaho Freedom Foundation: “Calling it a ‘charity’ is, well, charitable.” Organizations like this one that pretend to be charitable or educational, but are blatantly political, are a moral outrage. Reporting on and bringing their underhanded tactics to light is the reason that I continue to subscribe to The Spokesman-Review.

The Nov. 27 article in The Spokesman-Review, “Secret political money targeted,” gives further information on how the Internal Revenue Service hopefully will tighten rules for tax-exempt groups. The last paragraph of the article says “The agency will invite comments for 90 days,” but there’s no address as to how those comments can be forwarded. Advise please.
