RABE-FAUBLE-CHARBONNEAU, Daynee Noelani The world has lost one of its greatest creative wordsmiths. Daynee Noelani Rabe-Fauble-Charbonneau, 61, put up a strong battle against breast cancer starting 2007. She finally lost her fight to leukemia on December 13th, 2013. Daynee, a native Hawaiian born May 10th, 1952 in Honolulu, Hawaii, had an amazing talent for the written and spoken word. One of her greatest talents was her writing of poems and prose. Her wit and energy was next to none. Daynee once convinced her daughter that Joshua Trees in the desert had the unique ability to move towards water during the night when no one was looking. Because why wouldn’t God create each wonder of the world uniquely to accommodate its environment? Especially true for Joshua Trees in the hot dessert, after all! Daynee’s unique perspective on life could shock, bewilder or completely enamor friends, family and strangers alike. Either way, you were compelled to listen to her and maybe even change your mind. Daynee had an incredible rapport with people, didn’t know a stranger, and never judged a friend. She was a spark of inspiration and we will all be amiss a good belly laugh or hug without her. She would say, “Peace be with you all. I leave you the wonders of this world.” Daynee is the eldest daughter of the late Richard Dean Rabe and is survived by her mother, Andree Rabe-Alton. She is also survived by her younger sisters and brother, Suzanne Bruner-Smith, William Rabe and Arrow Coyote. Children living are, Summerly Fauble-Chase, husband Ryan Chase and Journey Fauble. Grandchildren are Keelin Harper and Austin Chase. Memorial Service will begin Saturday, December 21st, with a viewing at 2pm, followed by memorial at 3pm and reception with refreshments after. The location is in the Salvation Army Chapel at 222 East Indiana, Spokane, WA 99209. Memorial Services are being directed by Spokane Cremation and Funeral Service.
