Teen expelled, jailed for allegedly threatening to kill classmates

A 14-year-old boy was expelled from East Valley High School then jailed after he threatened to kill classmates and a teacher last week, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. The boy, whose name was not released by the Sheriff’s Office because he is a minor, is being held in juvenile detention on a harassment charge, according to a news release. A teacher reported the teen said he would like to kill everyone in his classroom, and that his plot to kill the instructor was “nothing personal,” the Sheriff’s Office said. The student also said he had a plan in place to carry out the slayings, according to investigators. The alleged threat was made Thursday. Deputies contacted the boy’s mother, who reported the teen as a runaway. When he returned to his home Saturday morning, the boy was arrested without incident, according to the news release.
