Obituary: Heinemann, Wanda M. (Gober)

Age 95

HEINEMANN, Wanda M. (Gober) October 31, 1918 - December 26, 2013 Mother was born October 31, 1918 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Marion James Gober and Maxie Myrtle (Pardue) Gober.

She peacefully passed away December 26, 2013 at the Cheney Care Center in Cheney, Washington.

She married Fred Heinemann on July 26, 1941.

Survived by three sons; Robert Heinemann of Cheney, Warren (Judy) Heinemann of Livermore, California, and Dean (Kerry) Heinemann of Cheney; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grand- children.

Wanda graduated from Eastern Washington College of Education now Eastern Washington University.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cheney, a fifty plus year member of Martha Chapter No.

60 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Chapter GA PEO Sisterhood, a member of the Tawanka Service Organization at EWCE, a member of Kappa Delta Pi (Educational Honorary), a member of the Retired Washington State Teachers, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

She started her teaching career in the Seattle public schools and the Helen Bush private school in Seattle.

She retired in 1979 after teaching for twenty-five in the Cheney public schools.

A memorial service will be held at the Cheney United Methodist Church (204 4th Street) on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 am.

Eastern Star and PEO will provide lunch after the service.
