Irresponsible gun owner

I just read with total disgust the Dec. 26 article about the 12-year-old getting accidentally shot by his grandfather’s concealed gun. Why in God’s name would a person even think to pack his pistol to a family Christmas gathering? Did he think he was going to be attacked by an elf?

This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Unless you are horribly paranoid, it makes no sense to carry a gun 24/7, much less to a family gathering. If you have a concealed weapons permit, you need to show some responsibility. This was not responsible.

As The Spokesman-Review’s Olympia reporter Jim Camden explained Feb. 22, lawmakers could vote on a bill today responding to a court order that the people of Washington are entitled to review legislative records.
