Obituary: Meduna, Jack Dean

Age 79

MEDUNA, Jack Dean (Age 79) Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and most recently great grandfather passed away on January 28, 2013.

Jack was born on May 14, 1933 in Wahoo, Nebraska.

After serving in the US Army during the Korean War, Jack moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho in 1955 where he met the love of his life, Frances Mott to whom he was married for 54 years.

Jack was able to support his family through his many talents he had, his longest career with Kaiser Aluminum from where he retired in 1994.

Jack delighted in his grandchildren Erik, Amy, Kyle, Amanda, Kimmie and Zac.

Jack never missed a sporting or school event and was their “No.

One Cheerleader” and fan.

His family was lucky enough to experience his positive attitude and disposition.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Frances Meduna, daughters; Lori Meduna, Jackie (Rick) Jones and Karen (Dave) Smith.

Son, Alan Meduna, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Jack is preceded in death by parents, William Meduna & Helen McAuley, a brother, Roger “Bud” Meduna and a sister, Mary Ellen Garcia.

Jack truly enjoyed life and lived with no regrets.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Spokane Events Center, 10512 E. Sprague Ave.
