Obituary: Fritts, Evelyn Mae

FRITTS, Evelyn Mae (Age 95) Mae was born March 12, 1917 in Odessa, WA to Fred and Mary (Albrecht) Schillinger.

She passed away January 29, 2013 in Spokane, WA.

After leaving Odessa, Mae lived in Bremerton and worked at the paint shop at the Naval Shipyard where she met her husband Earl, they were married April 15, 1945 and remained married until Earl’s passing on November 6, 1969.

After working at the shipyard Mae and Earl moved to Anchorage, AK for a few years, then returned to Washington and purchased a fishing resort on Whidbey Island.

After Mae’s father’s death they sold the resort and moved to Sedro-Woolley, WA to live next door to her mother.

After her mother’s death, Mae and Earl moved to Spokane Valley for two years, and then moved to Deer Park.

After Earl’s death Mae lived in Deer Park until about 1992 when she moved into Lilac Plaza in Spokane.

In 2007 Mae Moved to Royal Park Care Center where she resided until her passing.

Mae is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Fritts; parents, Fred and Mary Schillinger; and all six brothers and sisters; Bill, Schillinger Sr., Marilu Price, Norman Schillinger, Elsie Yuckert, Shirley Nagel and Phyllis Lesser.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
