On July 1, 1950, Carol Lea married Loyd Rummer at the First Congregational Church in Colville.

She supported Loyd during their thirty-one year ownership of Empire Auto Parts and assisted with the bookkeeping and billing.

They sold the store in 1994 and began to enjoy retirement.

She and Loyd wintered for several years at the Yuma Country Club followed by their time at Lake Havasu.

Carol Lea was an avid golfer and gave much of her time to the Lady Elks and Lady Golfers clubs.

She traveled to many golf courses, near and far, in compliment to the Wanderer’s golf group.
