Think hard about Prop. 2
Regarding Proposition 2 (supermajority tax vote) on the special election ballot, permit me to make this point. If the proposition passes, in a 4 to 3 yes/no vote, the minority of three could always block the four majority’s wishes. Doesn’t the picture of a minority’s power to trump the majority strike anyone as alien to our democratic values and basically very un-American?
I urge all to think hard and rationally about this proposition’s repercussions before passing the measure.
