Erickson interviews at Utah

Former Washington State and Idaho coach Dennis Erickson has been interviewed by the University of Utah, according to a report by the Salt Lake Tribune.

The 65-year-old confirmed he interviewed with coach Kyle Whittingham on Tuesday, telling the Tribune, “I enjoyed it. They have good people there and a good staff; obviously Kyle has a good staff there so we will see.”

Erickson said no offer was made.

“There is nothing yet,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.”

Erickson most likely would assist offensive coordinator Brian Johnson. However, Whittingham has shown a willingness in the past to move personnel and create new job titles to fill his staff.
