Hogs cool off No. 2 Florida with 80-69 win

College men: BJ Young led three players in double figures with 13 points as Arkansas opened quickly and never let up in a shocking 80-69 victory over No. 2 Florida on Tuesday in Fayetteville, Ark.

The win improved the Razorbacks (14-8, 5-4 Southeastern Conference) to 14-1 at home this season, and it snapped a 10-game winning streak for the Gators (18-3, 8-1).

Arkansas opened the game 15 of 20 from the field.

• Hardaway Jr. leads Michigan: Tim Hardaway Jr. brought Michigan back with a relentless streak of 3-point shooting, then blocked a shot by Aaron Craft in the final seconds of overtime to give the third-ranked Wolverines a 76-74 victory over No. 10 Ohio State (17-5, 7-3 Big Ten) in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Hardaway finished with 23 points, including five straight 3-pointers in the second half. The Wolverines (21-2, 8-2) led by two points when Craft rushed the ball into the frontcourt after a missed Michigan free throw. He got all the way to the basket, but Hardaway was there to smother his last-ditch attempt to tie the score.

• Miami romps: Kenny Kadji scored 10 points during a span of four possessions to start a second-half surge and Miami (18-3, 9-0) remained unbeaten in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 72-50 win over Boston College (10-12, 2-7) in Coral Gables, Fla.

Short-handed Lakers knock off Nets

NBA: Kobe Bryant had 21 points and eight rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers overcame the absences of injured Dwight Howard and Metta World Peace, and the loss of Pau Gasol to injury during the game to beat the host Brooklyn Nets 92-83.

Antawn Jamison, starting for the suspended World Peace, made the go-ahead basket during a closing 14-3 run for the Lakers, who have won three straight and six of seven.

• Pacers stay hot at home: Paul George scored 29 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to their 15th straight home win, 114-103 over the Atlanta Hawks.

• Rockets drain record 3-pointers: The Houston Rockets tied an NBA record and set a franchise mark with 23 3-pointers in at 140-109 win over visiting Golden State.

Jeremy Lin scored 28 points, including a career-high five 3-pointers, and Chandler Parsons and James Harden hit four 3s apiece.

• Suns edge Grizzlies: Goran Dragic scored 15 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the visiting Phoenix Suns past the Memphis Grizzlies 96-90.

• Nuggets win seventh straight: Danilo Gallinari and Ty Lawson each scored 22 points and the host Denver Nuggets rallied past the Milwaukee Bucks 112-104 for their seventh straight victory.

Notre Dame coach posts 700th victory

College women: Muffet McGraw earned her 700th victory with No. 2 Notre Dame’s (21-1, 9-0 Big East) 59-52 victory over Villanova (16-6, 5-4) in Villanova, Pa.

McGraw became the 13th coach in Division I history to reach the 700-victory plateau.

Braun linked to Florida clinic

Baseball: Yahoo Sports is reporting that Milwaukee slugger Ryan Braun’s name is listed in the records of the Florida clinic under investigation by Major League Baseball for allegedly providing banned substances to athletes.

The report says Yahoo obtained three records from the Biogenesis of America LLC clinic that showed Braun’s name. Yahoo says no specific performance-enhancing drugs were noted next to the references to Braun.

Braun tested positive for elevated testosterone levels during the 2011 postseason. He drew a 50-game suspension that was later overturned.

Iginla hits first goal in Calgary victory

NHL: Jarome Iginla scored his first goal of the season and Dennis Wideman had a goal and an assist to lead the Calgary Flames past the host Detroit Red Wings 4-2.

• Sestito ends scoring drought: Tom Sestito scored his first two goals in three years to lead the host Philadelphia Flyers over the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1.

• Clarkson leads Devils: David Clarkson scored twice and set up New Jersey’s other goal, and Pat Elias matched his career best with three assists to lead the Devils to a 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers in Newark, N.J.

Nadal returns for doubles win

Tennis: Rafael Nadal has won his first match after being away for more than seven months because of a knee injury.

The former No. 1-ranked Nadal partnered with Juan Monaco to defeat the Czech pair of Frantisek Cermak and Lukas Dlouhy 6-3, 6-2 in the VTR clay-court tournament in Vina Del Mar, Chile.
